Air Duct Cleaning in Suffolk County NY

What is the air like in your home or facility? Have you stopped to consider that question? Chances are, unless you have had a major problem, you probably haven’t given it much thought.

But let Long Island HVAC Repair educate you on why it is an important question to ask yourself.

A regularly function set of ducts, combined with an air filter system of some type, is designed to allow air flow from your heating and cooling units to transmit the conditioned atmosphere to areas it needs to go. But even the best air filters are only so good.

Over time air ducts become soiled with a number of contaminants such as dust, soot, pet dander and hair, smoke resin from tobacco products and cooking oils, and other things. One of the most problematic areas of pollutants that can build up in a duct system are allergens such as pollen and mold. As these pollutants settle in your ducts they are also continually blown out into your home or facility, transmitting these irritants to your family, customers, etc.

But here is where things can get really nasty. Dust mites (which feed on dead human skin cells, something your ducts likely have an abundance of), insects and even rodents can enter your air ducts. Insects and rodents can’t survive for long in these areas, which means they may be decaying in your ducts and contaminating your air even more.

Does your home or facility have a certain unique smell? It might be your carpet, but then again it could be your air ducts in serious need of cleaning. These creatures also don’t magically appear inside your ducts; they burrow, chew and gnaw their way in which creates holes in your ducting.

Holes in your duct work leak air, which means you heating or cooling unit can’t get adequate amounts of conditioned air to where it needs to go. Your heating or cooling system then does what it is designed to do which is continue to run until your thermostat tells it to stop. This dysfunction between your homes air components can raise your heating and cooling bills with almost no outward indication of the reason. So now having educated you on what can be inside your air ducts, we ask the question again; What is the air like in your home or facility?

Our commercial duct cleaning can also lend a breath of Long Island Fresh Air (see what we did there?) to your business or facility. Our cleaning services can be scheduled as to have as little impact on the daily function of your facility, removing any worry you might have.

But don’t worry, scheduling an air duct cleaning is only a phone call or web form submission away. We can clean your air ducts using advanced technology and methods that will have your ducts as clean as when they were first installed.

Our cleaning specialists will do an inspection of ducts to determine what level of cleaning is necessary, as well as check your system for any seal leaks, holes or other damage that may be allowing air to escape/enter.
